The Best Western Harmony, Vienna

I recently stayed at this hotel, and was pleasantly surprised with the services and activities it offered. My first impressions were good just walking into the lobby, and after checking out the room, I knew that I was going to have a great stay. The room itself was bright and interesting. As soon as you walk in the room comes to life using technology I’ve never seen in a hotel. The windows open themselves and the lights automatically turn on, as well as several other things. Although there was no swimming pool, there was a lot to do near the hotel. It was very close to a public transit system and several touristy spots, such as a park and a famous church, were right nearby. As an added bonus everyday from 3:00 to 6:00 the hotel offers free tea and cake, alongside the free breakfast offered in the mornings. Overall this is a great place to stay for anyone visiting Vienna.

The Wenceslas Square Hotel, Prague

The Wenceslas Square Hotel is a fairly small hotel located just off Wenceslas Square in Prague, Czech Republic. Its takes less than two minutes to get to Wenceslas Square from this little hotel. Getting my bags up to my room when I first checked into the hotel was a struggle. There are a lot of stairs to climb up, even after taking the elevator up to you floor. When I first got to my room on the 5th floor I was disappointed. The room looked like very little thought was put into the design. Also, the only window in the room was a skylight which can’t offer the views I was hoping for in a Prague hotel. It was not what we were expecting at all. We soon requested a room change, and since none were available that day, we had to stay the night in that room. Although are first night was unpleasant, things quickly changed when we were given a new room for the 2nd night. We got a room on the 3rd floor, which was a huge improvement to our 5th floor room. We had a great view of the nearby museum and the room was extremely bright and airy. Other than my first nights stay at this hotel, I had a good experience at this hotel. My 2nd room was very nice and it was located in a perfect location, with the added benefit of free breakfast at the hotel. If you’re planning on staying at this hotel in the spectacular city of Prague, I’d recommend requesting a room below the 5th floor as those are the nicest rooms.

Jaro Palace Royal Hotel (Quebec City)

I recently stayed in the Palace Royal hotel while on vacation. The room I stayed in had a sofa bed as well as a queen sized bed. The room included a small fridge as well as a fairly large bathroom. The desk space was convenient for anyone who needs somewhere to work and the TV’s in both the main room and the bedroom were great for entertainment purposes. One very interesting part of the hotel was that about half of the rooms had a balcony view of the indoor pool, although for some reason the door to the balcony was locked in my room.

The hotel featured a very small fitness centre, a tropical garden, and a nice restaurant with a buffet. It was in a great location within walking distance of the wall the surrounds Vieux-Quebec (Old Quebec). The biggest benefit of the hotel was definitely the location. It is a ton of fun to explore this city as well as other cities in Quebec.
